Co-Laborer with Christ Award
Wesley Seminary, through the Co-Laborer with Christ Award, seeks to acknowledge and honor an individual or individuals who embody the spirit of collaboration in how they bring awareness to the realities of God’s kingdom on Earth.
John and Vera Mae Perkins were the inaugural recipients of the Co-Laborer with Christ Award. John and Vera Mae exemplify what it means to work together, partner with others, and co-labor with Christ through the ministries God has entrusted to them over the years. They sacrificed unconditionally to help God’s kingdom come here on Earth through community development and reconciliation. For the example they have set, and for the legacy they have built, Wesley Seminary was proud to honor them with the first-ever Co-Laborer with Christ Award. The award is now named in their honor, and future recipients will receive the John and Vera Mae Perkins Co-Laborer with Christ Award.
