    Ministerial and Professional Background

    Charlie came to IWU in 2003 after investing the past 15 years in local church youth ministry. Charlie served as Youth and Worship pastor at Parkway Wesleyan Church in Roanoke Va., Youth Pastor at Lakeview Wesleyan Church in Marion Ind., and Student Ministries Pastor at Skyline Wesleyan Church, San Diego, Calif. At Skyline, Charlie developed an off-campus youth center called "Ground Zero." Charlie has also served as Western Area Director for Wesleyan Youth, and has helped organize area and national Wesleyan youth conventions since 1994. He has held the following positions: Executive Director of Programming Cincinnati '98, Convention Director San Diego '01, Executive Director of General Sessions Charlotte '03 and Executive Director of General Sessions LOGOS5 Grand Rapids. Charlie's responsibilities at IWU also include working in the graduate program, specifically the youth ministries concentration. He also serves as faculty advisor for the annual IWU "Youth Conference" as well as coordinator for "Frequency," a conference designed to invest in people committed to youth ministry and "RAM Camp,” a conference designed to help high school students discover their call.
