Evaluation
Student evaluations are distributed at the conclusion of each class and are returned to the IWU Assessment Office. The tabulated evaluations are sent to the Seminary Dean, the Course Instructor (that’s you), and the Adjunct Coordinator. The evaluations have two categories: “Course Content” and “Instructor,” with eight questions in each category, plus an open-ended opportunity for comments. Student evaluations are part of the evaluation of all full-time and part-time Wesley Seminary professors, .

- Experience and knowledge in the topic, and willingness to share that experience.
- Knowledge of research and resources in the field, and desire to share them with students.
- Comfort with computer technology and ability/willingness to learn

Student Reviews
Below are the “uncut and uncensored” student evaluations from one recent Seminary course. (No comments were deleted.) As you can see, not every comment was 100% positive, but the overall assessment indicated that students had gained and grown from that class because of the professor’s role:
“Dr. xxxx is a great professor and I really appreciate his timely feedback, grading, and extra article resources. I wish he would have more mandatory articles. I learned a lot from the extra papers he attached to our feedback.”
“Prof. xxxx is the most conscientious instructor I have had. He goes out of his way to be available for the students. His gift of encouragement is off the charts. Excellent job.”
“Prof. xxxx did a great job! I did e-mail him early in the course as his APA example was fifth edition, and I was now used to the sixth and wanted to know if it was acceptable to continue to use the sixth, but he did not reply to that. A few times he was a little slow on grading, but he was more than generous in allowing us additional time if we needed it. Great class!”
Prof. xxxx was fantastic. He added more value to the subject through full participation in the class. When I shared the context of my ministry he shared relevant additional articles and insights, which were extremely helpful.”
“I appreciated the frequent interaction in the discussion forums and the helpful feedback given on papers.”
“No suggestions. The instructor did a wonderful job.”
“Thank you, Professor xxxx, for truly understanding the online format with people in full time jobs. You are a wealth of information, you motivate me to learn about the topic and are always available to help. Thank you!”
“None. Instructor was very helpful.”
