Rev. John Symonds

Rev. John Symonds was born in raised in Canada as a “preacher's kid.” Rev. Symonds earned his Bachelor of Arts (‘67) and Bachelor of Education (‘73) from St Thomas University in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. He taught grades 7-9 in the public school system for 12 years before earning his Master of Divinity (‘82) from Asbury Theological Seminary. Rev. Symonds pastored in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia for 18 years where the church grew from an average attendance of 60 to over 500. He as also served as Program Director of Pastoral Ministry and Church Planting at Bethany Bible College 2001-2007. Rev. Symonds presently serves as lead pastor at Corbett Avenue Wesleyan Church in Fredericton New Brunswick. Rev. Symonds and his wife, Willo Ann, have three adult children, Brock, Nicole and Kate and seven grandchildren.
